Birth: October 8, 1955 | Birthplace: Dawsonville, GA

Harvey Jones of Tallahassee, FL, is the first inductee not from Georgia (this Harvey Jones shouldn’t be confused with the Harvey Jones from Atlanta, who is already in the GRHOF). Jones started racing in 1949, and despite being born and raised in Tallahassee, according to Georgia Auto Racing Hall of Fame historian Mike Bell, he probably did 70 to 80% of his racing in Georgia. He raced at Columbus, Albany, and any other track from Macon to the Florida State Line. Jones was the first track champion at the Valdosta 75 Speedway. Jones passed away in 2009.
