- 1950’s – Started racing career at the old Looper Speedway in Gainesville and continued for three decades contending at tracks throughout the southeast resulting in one of the highest winning percentages in the history of auto racing
- 1969 – Built and opened Dixie Speedway in Woodstock, GA
- 1971 – Purchased and improved Douglasville Speedway into West Atlanta Speedway
- 1982 – Built and opened Lanier National Speedway in Braselton, GA
- 1987 – Won the prestigious “Auto Racing Promoter of the Year” award
- 2003 – Inducted into the National Dirt Late Model Hall of Fame
