- 1949 – On the sands of Daytona Beach, ran 150 mph in a supercharged ’40 Ford
- 1958 – Broke all Georgia records with “The Bullet” built from aircraft parts
- 1963 – NHRA Division 2 Top Gas Championship
- 1965 – Crashed at 170 mph at Bristol, ending his career with 108 wins
- 1966 – Mechanic and coworker with Sneaky Pete Robinson’s NHRA Title
- 1993 – Known as the “Granddaddy of Southeastern Drag Racing” inducted into the NHRA S.E. Hall of Fame
- 2002 – Inducted into the inaugural East Coast Drag Times Hall of Fame
