- 1941 – Competed in the old barrel racing at the beaches of Jacksonville, Florida
- 1948 – Raced “Powder Puff” event at new Atlanta Speedway, discovered as a driver
- 1949 – Competed in the first NASCAR Strictly Stock (Sprint Cup Series) race at Charlotte
- 1949 – First and only husband/wife racing team (Frank Christian) in NASCAR history at the old Daytona road and beach course
- 1949 – Voted by the United States Driver’s Association as “Woman Driver of the Year)
